We recently celebrated the official grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony for this state-of-the-art facility in Amarillo, Texas! As the first vet school built in Texas in over 100 years, the newly completed Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine facility is comprised of multiple state-of-the-art structures across two sites.
The new 185,000 square foot structure, TTUSVM, contains accommodation for office spaces, classrooms, a large lecture hall, life science laboratory areas, research spaces, and both small and large animal holding facilities. Additionally, the secondary site, Mariposa Station, includes multiple smaller structures intended to serve the requirements to expand husbandry skills development, clinical and surgical needs, as well as provide large animal housing.
