Ensight Haynes Whaley was the structural engineer for the renovation to Jarrett Hall, an existing 380-bed, student residence hall is located on the north side of the campus. The building was constructed in 1963 and contains 69,630 gross square feet of space over two floors.
The renovation added an additional 28 beds for a total of 408 beds.
Located central to the residential wings, the building commons is a hub of social activity. The new community kitchen is a gathering place for students , and it also serves as additional area for individual or group study. An expanded central laundry, public rest rooms and a two-bed, two-bath director’s apartment are located in the building commons as well. A new collaborative learning center and RA workroom are located adjacent to the building commons in the first floor of the west residential wing.
